Saturday, May 29, 2009 will mark the
4th Annual “Friends of Ministikwan Lake” Clean Up Event.
Over the past 4 years we have dedicated a day to the clean up of the shoreline, usually incorporating a wiener roast along with a demo day of quads, canoes or kayaks.
This year we will be having North Land Chrysler & Yamaha from Meadow Lake on hand for anyone wishing to test a new Yamaha ATV.
“Friends of Ministikwan Lake” is an initiative started by the management and customers of the Ministikwan Campground, simply to clean up the shoreline, much the same way as you would see the ditches along the highways being cleaned in the spring. We have tried to mix in a little fun with the work. The campground customers have come out in large numbers bringing their quads and wagons, along with their families.
Saskatchewan Parks has been kind enough to supply the garbage bags for the clean up.
This year we will start at 11:00 am, May 29 and work until 4:00 pm.
The target area will be from South Ridge Bible Camp around the point past the Campground and public beach, then as far around the south shore as we have people for.
Robert will have the garbage truck on hand for your deposits.
Quad demos and the wiener roast will be hosted from the beach parking lot.
It is always nice to see people have a concern for the environment around them.
