Ministikwan Lake welcomes its newest resident
Last week I stepped out into the early morning air and all I could hear was a loud constant roaring sound coming from the south.
Realizing I had heard this sound before, I just listened for a few seconds absorbed in the moment. I looked over at the south shore of the lake and sure enough the leaves were gone allowing the wind easy passage as it swept down onto the open water causing the roaring sound or perhaps just letting us know the season is changing.
As the seasons interchange around Ministikwan Lake, so are the people.
Ministikwan Lake is now home to a long time friend, camper and fisherman.
Stan Cundliff sold his business and retired from “Stan’s Radiator” this past spring after serving the Lloydminster community and surrounding area for 38 years.
Stan was born and raised just north of Lloydminster always calling Lloydminster home until now.
Stan worked in several trades before settling into the rad shop. Over the years Stan has quite likely repaired or rebuilt every conceivable configuration of radiator and when he wasn’t found in the shop you new he had headed north to one of his favourite lakes to fish, camp and enjoy the outdoors.
Several years ago Stan purchased a cottage lot at Ministikwan Lake and this past summer built his retirement home. With the homes completion in September Stan moved in and has officially become Ministikwan Lakes newest resident, keeping Saskatchewan’s population over one million.
Welcome Stan.
