A wet surprise

Water came cascading over the cubicle walls, instantly saturating Keith’s half naked body as he prematurely and somewhat abruptly rose from the seat of the porcelain throne. He had been there for the previous few minutes in quiet solitude, unaware a major midsummer water fight had erupted outside the walls of his enclosure.
It was mid-day, we had recently moved into the new store, a two-storey building also our home with a balcony on the second floor. I just happened to be on the balcony when a camper, Pauline, was making her way to the store.
We talked and she became so engaged in our conversation, I asked her to hang on for a moment I would be right back. Returning with a bucket of ice cold water, she was totally unaware in the next moment her body would momentarily shocked as the water drenched her entire body from above. Needless to say she was not a happy camper and went off vowing to return with re-enforcements and they did have those as she was part of four or five families camping together.
A short while later I had gone down to the fish table to have a look at the fi sh Robert had just brought in, of course there is a garden hose at that location. Out of A wet surprise nowhere one of Pauline’s children sprays both of us and runs like the dickens back to the relative security of the campsite, only to return with an army of kids sporting the newest soaker model squirt guns. We managed to retaliate until we ran out of garden hose. The kids were reloading with the bathroom hose, when we caught up with them, again stretching the limits of the garden hose.
While I was already at the bathrooms I started the daily cleaning which we always start by hosing down the sand, so already having a hose in my hand I was loaded up just waiting for a target. Robert came around the corner and I started spraying him, soaking him from top to bottom until the hose ran out. He was now out for revenge when I saw him coming after me with a fi ve gallon pail full to the top.
I was boxed in with nowhere to turn. I ran into the men’s bathroom and hid in the shower when Robert entered the bathroom. He must have heard some movement in the cubicle because that’s exactly where the water went. Robert was a little more than shocked when I emerged from the shower laughing like crazy.
Keith was on the other side.
