As I stepped out into the morning air of Ministikwan Lake I sensed there were winds of change in the air.
In the distance the drone of heavy equipment could be heard. In that moment I just assumed the neighbours to the south were starting construction of a new residence.
Throughout the day the sounds continued to waft between the trees settling in our yard. Of course I was somewhat curious and thought I may go over and check it out when I got a moment. But when we headed up to the polling station to cast our vote, we turned onto the goat trailand lo and behold with shear shock and amazement we witnessed the source of the heavy equipment sounds. Gravel was being spread on the Goat Trail.
That being said the winds of change started with a Royal Wedding where we saw the younger generation bbring new traditions to the monarchy, not to mention the fashion flair which will no doubt will be carried into the coming season.
From there the wind brought in the news of the world’s most sought after terrorist Osama bin Laden when given the chance to surrender refused and subsequently met his demise by high-powered lead poisoning to his frontal lobe.
From there the wind blew heavily from the Atlantic Ocean across our vast land to the Pacific Ocean, 167 seats.
With all this change one can only imagine there will be unexpected shockwaves around the globe. How many loose cannons has bin Laden left behind? I can’t believe for a minute there won’t be radical terrorists out their chasing their many virgins in the next life.
Without a doubt all nations must be more vigilant than ever disecting their intelligence and acting on it or sharing it before new cells are born or catastrophic events are carried out around the world, complacency is not an option.
Closer to home, all the best to the Mr. Harper as he forms the government.
